A.D. 60–70, possibly before the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple.

The author of Hebrews is unknown, though it has been attributed to Paul, Barnabas, or Apollos. Written to Jewish Christians, the letter encourages perseverance in the faith by presenting Jesus as the ultimate fulfillment of Old Testament law and prophecy.

Main Message:

Jesus is the superior High Priest and the ultimate sacrifice, offering a new and better covenant. Believers are urged to hold fast to their faith, persevere through trials, and look to Jesus, the “author and perfecter” of their faith.
